LATE SHRI RAMKUMAR AGARWAL

25.08.1918 - 18.04.1995

The Honourable Late Shri Lala Ramkumar Agarwal, father of Shri Vinod Agarwal was a zamindar hailing from the Rohtak district of Haryana. Despite his affluent upbringing, he was put to test by having to endure enormous financial difficulties. However, with his unceasing passion for work and taking initiative to create, coupled with his earnest psyche, he was able to build upon his first humble accomplishment through a transportation business. An extraordinarily honest man, he was also extremely passionate about work, and was the driving force behind setting up all the initial marketing offices of Agarwal, Pan-India.

LATE SMT. CHAMELI DEVI AGARWAL

16.06.1929 - 16.01.2002

A goddess comparable to the family, the Late Smt. Chameli Devi Agarwal, mother of Shri Vinod Agarwal was a fierce lady, who always encouraged a sense of solidarity, clear commitments, devotion & hard work, as well as educational aspirations among her children. Notwithstanding their impoverished state, she imparted extremely valuable lessons to her sons, moulding them into the close-knit group of ingenious visionaries they are today. The Agarwal Group attributes its successes and accomplishments to her and her blessings.

Shri Purshottam Agarwal has been a guiding force and a constant source of inspiration in the journey of Vinod Agarwal. As the elder brother of Shri Vinod Agarwal, he has played the role of a mentor, sharing his wisdom, values, and practical business insights. His guidance, direction, and unwavering blessings laid a strong foundation for entering and growing in the coal industry. His experience, humility, and farsighted vision have inspired generations to lead with integrity and perseverance. His encouragement continues to be a pillar of strength behind the Groups enduring success.

LATE SMT. NEENA DEVI AGARWAL

Eternal Inspiration (21 May 1964 – 15 January 2026)

Late Smt. Neena Devi Agarwal, the beloved wife of our Founder and Chairman, Shri Vinod Agarwal, was his greatest source of strength, unwavering support, and constant inspiration throughout his personal and professional journey. A woman of compassion, humility, and kindness, she believed that true fulfilment lies in serving others selflessly. Her quiet grace, generosity, and strong values touched countless lives and continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of empathy, simplicity, and selfless service lives on, reminding us that the greatest impact we can make is through kindness, compassion, and care for others.
